Got Questions?

How can I know the content is faithful to the teachings of the Church?

The Journey of Hope program's sole mission is to offer support, healing, and hope to any Catholic who is going through the very real, devastating, and painful process of marital separation or divorce by sharing the truths of our faith and participating in the Corporal and Spiritual Works of Mercy of accompanying and instructing those who are suffering.

The Journey of Hope Program content does not in any way condone or promote divorce or view it as an acceptable option. The content upholds the sanctity and permanency of marriage.

Is It difficult to start a Journey of Hope group?

With permission from one's pastor or approval from one's diocesan Family Life Director (if it is offered by the diocese), the Journey of Hope program is easy to implement and comes with training manuals, training videos, and access to personal support from Lisa Duffy.

Who can lead a Journey of Hope group?

An ideal group leader would be a practicing Catholic who has already been through a divorce and the annulment process, who has healed from that experience, and who is knowledgeable in Church teaching about divorce and annulments. However, a group leader can also be someone who has not been divorced, but is compassionate toward the struggles a divorced person experiences, is knowledgeable in Church teaching regarding divorce and annulment, and has a sincere desire to walk with those who are suffering on the road to healing.

Should I choose physical products or an online subscription?

Physical products (the book, workbook, and DVD) are best suited for in-person groups at parishes. Online subscriptions are often used by parishes that do not have abundant resources to lead a group or by individuals that prefer to go through the program in the privacy of their own home and at their own pace.
